What to Expect When You Come for Worship

There are absolutely NO prerequisites to attending Sunday worship at Hillside.  Whatever your background or prior experience with church, we are confident that you will find our community to be warm and welcoming.  You don't need to dress a certain way - we are pretty casual by nature.

We will start with some singing and scripture, share church life announcements, pray, engage with a sermon from one of our pastors, receive communion (we do this weekly), and then enjoy as much time together as we can!

Our focus is to be a community centered on Christ and his mission to open the way to God's Kingdom.  We keep it as simple as possible.  And we'd love for you to join us!

When You Arrive

When you arrive at Hillside Church (2689 Adobe Road, Petaluma, CA) for our Sunday worship service at 10:00 am, head to the main doors under the overhang.  Inside, you will find some of our wonderful greeters, who will introduce themselves, provide a name tag, and point you in the right direction for your family.

We have nursery care for children 2 years and under from 9:45-11:30 every Sunday, and you are also more than welcome to bring young children into worship with you! For us, kids are not distractions - they are a vital part of our worshiping community!

Children age 5 through 5th grade will begin the worship time in the sanctuary sitting with you.  There will be a children's worker at the doors of the sanctuary who will check your kids in, and then you can find a seat as a family. Our kids will be dismissed before the message and will head out to our Hale Ministry Center (smaller building across the lawn from the Worship Center).  You are absolutely welcome to visit our children's area before worship begins, or to accompany them to the Ministry Center, and parents are always welcome to stay for Children's Church.
